Did these when I was a kid. Most of these were done between 13 and 16. I'd been painting plastic toy soldiers with my dad's enamels for years before this, so buying some acrylics and decent brushes was a bit of a revelation! This one got into the finals of GD in 1990 and got printed in GW's Fantasy Miniatures book that year: This was one of the first ones I did.... One of my better ones at that time: Some of my favourite minis: And a recent remake of the last one.... Reckon I've gone backwards!

Wow Scott you bring back memories, all nice minis you were an exceptional painter even then, I still have the GD90 book but I never realised that was yours, well you live and learn. As I said on Cmon the remake of the IG beastman is great they should rerelease them just like that.

I have that GD90's book as well. I remember that Ogre very fondly, as it was always one I didn't have in my little 'classic Ogre' collection. I now have it though....Maybe I will copy your scheme!
Your style is wonderfull spacemunkie. Very bold colors....The newest one seems much more muted, but still wonderful. I'd give my left goolie to paint like that. Probably my right one too.
