Hi, Using this article you can simply create lightning effects Don't worry if this is done with a mac it works with both Windows and Linux Select a colour in the range of dark blue and really dark blue. Then select paint bucket and paint the background that colour Click Filter>Render>Clouds now select: Filter>Render>Difference Clouds Until you get a picture like theis: Now you can either go Select>All then Select>Inverse Or press Control+I/Apple+I You might have to repeat the steps once or twice to get the proper effect you want

Hi stefan, please don't take offence at this, but I moved this to this forum as i think it fits better here, as this is a good tutorial for making backgrounds in photoshop. I have nevertried anything like this and will give it a go. Thank you for adding to our tutorial library.

I am not sure but I know it is not cheap if you get the full blown version. I have pohto Impact and that was about £60 when I bought it.

How did you manage to download it for free and can I do it? i have heard so much about it but am not going to shell out a fortune when I have a fairly could image software package. I wouldn't mind giving it a go though.
