havent had time to do the promised sigs, i will do them but ive had 2 pieces of coursework to do plus i start my GCSEs on monday  anyway, as a stress reliever, i made this:  yes im a man utd fan, and yes i am aware about the fact we lost to south end anyways... what do you all think?  |

You've definitely got these sigs of to a tee! I have PS7 but i can't understand how you get that great lined texture, i've tried all the filters and canvas things but can't work it out  Any chance of a pointer  |

ill do another tutorial on bordors and scanlines some time in the week. that should help ill give a quick tutorial now though: make a new 3 x 3 document and the background as transparent get the pencil tool set to 1px black and make a 3 pixel wide diagonal line once thats done, click edit then selet define pattern, rename it black scanlines or something like that when you have finished your sig, avater or whatever, get a new layer and go to image -> apply image, then click layer -> layer style -> pattern overlay and select your sanline pattern, set the opacity to something like 50 or 25, whatever you think looks good, then click ok. erase the scanlines which are overlayed on the text, image or anywhere you dont want them then your done. ill explain in more detail in a tutorial hope that helps you menace |

I don't understand how you manage to blend the images so perfectly into the background. I always get these sharp outlines of the image, and the image doesn't blend into the background at all.

use modify -> contract then by 1px then feather by 1
paste your render on the background and duplicate the layer, then set the mode of the bottom render to either soft light, luminosity or overlay and the top render layer as normal and layer opacity to 55%
that should help

we havent done mocks yet, this is the real thing but if we dont get the grades we like we can re sit the exam. my school sucks as i only found this out a week ago so ive had to cram loads of revision in its only something like 11% of our maths that were doing anyway back on topic |
