Looks pretty cool, though I don't think I'll be getting one.
Nice find Bolger!

Very nice mini but very expensive for a resin kit even if it is limited to 1000 pieces. I thought about ordering one but then changed my mind.

I don't really like it (or the price) a bit too small head for me.

That was the idea of Thrud the barbarian all muscle and no brain, it was a comedy comic strip mate.

He's OK, but I seem to remember that Thrud tapered in a bit more towards his waist, with really enhanced wide shoulders. Much more so than here.
Also 32 quid is a wee bit too much cash for this I think.

i think your right lono his waist is way to wide ,i wont be buying this guy :-) Thats because this is based on the very origional Thrud. There will be another Ltd. Ed. Thrud released soon more in proportion with how he looks now.

I have no clue how he looks now to be honest, has he changed? It's the original strips I know and that's the look I am thinking of. I have most of them in my old White Dwarfs (OK, so I'm not quite that ancient, the first issue I bought was 129, but I blagged loads of back issues off my cousin when I was a young un) and the Kev sculpt doesn't match up with my memories. Taking a look at this old Citadel mini of him, which I think I still have tucked away somewhere, perhaps those memories are slightly clouded though, because it isn't as extreme as I thought. There is still something about the new sculpt that seems off though. Perhaps it is too realistically proportioned to match the old Thrud, if you ignore the head of course!

I honestly don't really know about sizes and such. I just read this:
"Based on how Thrud looked waaay back in the 1980's , specifcally, page 38 of the Thrud the Barbarian Graffik Novel. This incredible piece of work is by Kev White (of Hasslefree Miniatures) and is exactly how Thrud used to look back in the old days!"
off the link in the first post. But if that ain't how Thrud looked, i really wouldn't know any different lol

It is true that he looked different in the early days, I got into Thrud when he was in White Dwarf along with Gobledigook another great cartoon strip.

I don't really like it (or the price) a bit too small head for me. It's not the head that's small, it's the body that's large! The mini is in 54 mm scale (or whatever that is in REAL, proper scale... 1/32 perhaps) and as you can see he's 90 mm tall! Never been a Thrud fan, so I'll pass on this one.
