I have been running a painting school on a Lotr themed website that seems to be going down quite well, as you may or may not know I have been toying with the idea of doing the same thing here. I thought I would open up this thread to see who if anyone would like to take part also what sort of mini and what topics I should cover or if anyone else would like to add their skills to the guide as well. if you think that this is a good idea and would like to see it happen and also take part then let us start by making a list of participants and take it from there.

What sort of projects would be involved. I would love to help out, just not sure how much time I could commit to it.

I'd love to take part in the paint along side, i guess we wont being doing lor figures since you cover them on the onering so i'd suggest something GW 40k/WH or Rackham. Hasslefree are a bit small for a paintalong i think.

I knew you were doing a painting school on O-R and I'd lie to take part know I can have chance to paint. It just depends what mini we are doing!

I would definitely join if it has a interesting mini. I suggest an ork, goblin, gretchin or something similiar. After all, you are the master of painting greenskins Btw, how does it actually work? Do you post up a picture, and we do the exactly things you have done?

I think I will take this on, I am going to star another ork kommando soon ore maybe my FW ork pilot but if you guys want something different then you will have to discuss and decide what you would like me to do.

Personally I think another ork nob is the best choice. Not many of us have the FW ork pilot. And I think the sculpt of the ork nobs are much better for a painting guide like this. The FW sculpt are much more complex than the nob, and therefore I think the ork nob is a much better choice.

i would prefer an ork nob also, as i dont have the pilot ( and i dont like it ) depends what other people think also

I don't think there is any need to go and buy a specific ork as they all have skin and metals and the like so, maybe an ordinary ork boy would be ok I don't want people to have to spend money needlessly.

yeah you are right about that Tim. I think maybe an ork boy would be a good choice.
May I ask when this is going to happen? I am under quite some pressure now, as I have several painting competitions to enter.

Sounds cool-and it would be a great way to get people onto your website if you only posted it here.

I'll have to see what I have laying about--I probably will have to pick up something unless I can get Hinton to send me over one of his Rokkit Boyz, hehe. I have a fair bit on the table as well at the moment, so something midsummer would be more ideal for me. That being said, I'll show up when the Teacher says it is time to show up!

It won't be for a little while yet mate as I have a lot on too. But it will not be too long before I get this thing underway.

I like the idea of a generalized item, like orc. That way, if someone is into 40K or Fantasy or even wants to paint up another type orc model they can do so while following along with your guide.
