Definitely go deeper with it, because if you try to come up much more it will start looking less red and more orange.
Great work so far.

Looking good at this early stage, I would say the wooden planking if that is what it is needs a bit of squaring up.

i was going for the rotten look, all wet and sagged? what would you suggest for that mate?

rotten wood will look more crazed I think if you know what I mean. I am not sure how to explain it wood doesn't often sag unless it is very thin but more often will rot from the inside out. There appears to be no relief on the ends and I would have thought that as that is where any moisture would get in the quickest by capilliary action along the wood grain then there should be some sort of texture there.

Add a little bit of orange, but be really exteme in your highlihgts, because you want leather to have a nice dark quality. Highlight it like you would if you were trying to makes something black. Hope that helps, or even makes sense...

The blues look superb, very well blended. A couple of thin glazes with a glaze medium will help the blendings come even smoother. The browns look great aswell.

He is coming along nicely. I agree both the browns could use another highlight. The blues on the rear of the mini look very good. I think the abdomen blends could be smoothed just a bit more.

here is something i just started, i was going to do lamenters but i am still trying to make up a good recipee for mustard brownish yellow, in the meantime i am doing some space hulk style blood angels, i am trying to go for the old rt look and hopefully you will see that as this mini progresses, i have come up with a red i quite like, i think this still needs some more highlight layers and i still need to do the battle damage ( the big cuts! lol ) let me know what you think ( for some reason you cant see the progression in the first pic but it is more clear in the second, and even clearer irl, i am crap at photography ) this is the style of base i am gonna use, this is a prototyp to see how the materials i used work, i am quite happy with the result but this will not be used, im gonna use the new style bases and they should be better than this one ;D, sorta space hulk look i want

Sweet looking base! I might suggest outlining the "F2" to get it to stand out a bit more, but otherwise it is looking great. The photos admittedly make it tough to give real detailed critique, but the transitions look pretty smooth to me.
