Heey everyone! While looking on internet for conversion ideas I've found that some people use a kind of winded metal rod (that can bend) in their works. I was wondering if any of you know what these parts are and where I could possibly get them? Here is a picture for reference: It's the things that hold the helmet and run down the torso.

I've heard of people using guitar strings, which is what I think that is. Looks like the D or G string. Any guitar store person could explain that if you don't know already.

Yep, guitar strings, I am fortunate in that a girl at work has a band and she gets through alot of strings so I get em free, you should be able to get some broken ones to if you know anyone who gigs alot. Worth asking around to save a bit of money.

How simple! Thanks so much for your replies. Plenty of guitarstrings in my house, but never imagined using it in that manner

LoL the tappers are for actually putting a thread into a hole created for the bolts so you can actually screw the things in like real life bolts. That's dedication for you.
