Well I had a rumage around my boxes of mini's last night and found two models which will suit the contest. One daemoney one for the fantesy section, and a power armoured one for the Sci-fi half.
Its been ages since I've painted any chaos stuff, so I'm looking forward to this no end.

Yea! This is so great! I am up for the joust. Thanks so much Tim for all your efforts, the wips are great addition for me they are such fun and stack the excitement as well as the fear factor.

is there any other kind of rules other than the theme "chaos"??

Post by bruenor on Aug 10, 2007 23:42:53 GMT
Nope.
Must come under the influence or follow chaos in some way. Any manufactuer (sp?) or make as long as they are chaos themed. 40K, Sci-Fi or Fantasy Themed, there's a 1st,2nd, and 3rd for each.
The mini must be a new project, and not shown anywhere else as a complete mini. WIP are welcome in the Chaos comp' WIP thread.

Hmmm - got a very old demon I've just stripped. But I've already got too much to paint. Now if I delayed finishing my Dragon Ogre ....

Fast question here... would a mini from the Confrontation Dwarves of Mid-nor line work? They are kinda freaky-deaky in the chaos kinda way.

Regular Confrontation Dwarves I would say no but Mid-nor I would say yes to.

Today I got a lovely big parcel from Olley's Armies, I have to say that again he has been extremely generous with his donation, Among the prizes are the Dragon, The Hell Awaits Diorama, plus lots of other great stuff, Enough for a prize or two for each of the placings in each of the categories. I have sent a personal thanks via the e-mail system but Bob or Jackie if you read this a BIG THANK YOU again form the Worldofminis admin team.

It is the new dragon and will be the 1st prize for the Fantasy Category, I will post a full list with pictures as soon as I take them, also I can now announce that Hasslefree have agreed very kindly to sponsor us, this is a direct copy of the e-mail I received today, Okay, what i can do is offer 1st prizes into both categories of £10 vouchers but if the winning entry contains a HF figure then it gets tripled to £30. 2nd and 3rd places will get £5 each HF vouchers again tripling if use HF figures. Hows that? Sally I am most grateful for their support and with the incentive of tripling the value if the winners are HF minis makes it a very nice set of prizes indeed.
