I've seen all the black library threads here-these have never really been my thing-and I wonder what other stuff you like to read. What are your favorite books?
I mostly read historical fiction, here are my favorites in no particular order: Winds of War/War and Remembrance by Herman Wuok Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris Gai-Jin by James Clavell Sphere by Michael Crichton The Winter King/Enemy of God/Excalibur by Bernard Cornwell

Iain Banks, or Iain M banks (when he doe's Sci Fi) is excellent, possibly my favorite author. The Forever Wars by Joe halderman was a fantastic Sci Fi book I read a few weeks back. Joe Simpson is a good one, his books are based on true events, he is a climber/mountaineer, you may have seen Touching the Void, same fella. Theres another explorer I like the stuff of but I can't recall his name at the moment. Conn Igullden (sp?) did a great 4 book series about the life of Julius Ceasar which was historically accurate and told a fantastic story, he has also started a series about the Mongolians which I will have to get sometime. Stephen King is alright, but can be a bit hit or miss, can sometimes rely too heavily on dues ex machina, but when he gets it rights his stuff really shines. And Dan Abnett, great author as most of you probably know lol
Many, many more but I would have to get the books out and scour through them.

Realy depends on the mood, I like history so read alot of that. Fantasy and sci-fi are my main interests and those books feature heavily in my reading. Favourite authors include Tad Williams, Raymend E Feist, Terry Goodkind and of course Tolkien.

Yeah I have to say that the "Sword Of Truth" books are awesome by Mr Goodkind, I would recommend Tad Williams's "Memory Sorrow and Thorn" books, and also "Otherland" though that is tough reading. Another auther the sadly passed away David Gemmell "The Drenai Tales" is simply outstanding as is the "Lion of Macedon" and its follow up that I can't remember the title of now. One more I would like to add is Stephen Donaldson his books on the "Illearth War" and the following series to that trilogy are aslo great books.

I love biographies, every time somebody posts I rememer loads of great books lol.
I have loads of biographies, but Keith Moons was great.
But I have also read some really bad ones, I read one about the kinks once, and the whole thing was just inflating Ray Davis ego, but forgot about the rest of the band, terrible stuff.
